Out of the box

Multilinguism matters in a European gathering. In order to encourage it and to break down language barriers as much as possible, display in the living room basic expressions as “Hello”, “Have a nice meal” or “Good night” in the mother tongue of the participants.

Ask a native speaker of each language to pronounce the words you wrote in the right way, and ask the others to repeat to catch the correct pronouciation. From time to time, encourage participants to switch language and use the few words they learnt in the relevant situation.
