Kulturlabor Trial&Error is a German non-profit organization founded in 2010 in Berlin. As a result of the meeting of artists, journalists, designers and social entrepreneurs, it aims at:

• Empowering people to act, no matter their age, situation or skills;
• Stimulating Berlin inhabitants’ creativity and initiatives, bringing back to life social links in the area it operates and preventing exclusion;
• Facilitating knowledge exchange between people, as well as the exchange of goods and services;
• Promoting sustainable development.
  

The association values local resources (space, material, abilities) and a “Do It Yourself” approach. It invests the public space and offers various activities open to any age, religion, social status or background, among which collective urban gardens, neighborhood fests, sewing recycled waste based, cooking and canning workshops with no-sellable food.

It also advocates for human rights and gender equality and fights against any kind of discrimination. Since 2016, it has significantly strengthened its actions towards vulnerable groups, starting from migrants and asylum seekers.
